SixDegrees is a Seattle-based social curation start-up that connects people by taking the guesswork out of friendships. SixDegrees aim to create a community of people that is inclusive, safe, and welcoming for all.
I was responsible for all visual and design assets for SixDegrees across all sns platforms.
brand identity
SixDegrees aims to create real human connections in a locale that has a reputation for being cold and distant. I set out to create a visual identity that fostered warmth, community, and friendship.
I stuck with bright primary colors to represent the playfulness of SixDegrees, as well as to feel approach and unserious.
logo + type
SixDegrees originally came from the idea that everyone is connected to anyone within six degrees of separation. A sun motif is used to represent the welcoming and warm community SixDegrees aspires to cultivate.
I chose a serif and a sans-serif font for both modern and casual occasions—nothing too pretentious—to keep the vibe casual and inviting.
